EXPLORE various logos and create 5-10 thumbnails
Each of you will be creating a logo, a business Card, and a social media to introduce your brand to the Broyles Design Group.
Let us EXPLORE the tools for production and create 5-10 mock-ups/thumbnails (digital or hand-drawn) to EXPLORE how to visually represent our brand in a way that is eye-catching, memorable, is tied to our Brand.

- We will be using Canva to do this.
- Canva is a free tool that is very powerful when it comes to design. Especially for EXPLORE options or QUICK Designs.
- If your are a Portfolio Student, you can use Photoshop or Illustrator to do this, but I suggest brainstorming in Canva.
- Do not use the Templates in Canva… look at them for inspiration, but create the layers yourself.
- Use Text Elements and graphics… not Photos. (Photos can be used in Social Media Campaign later)
Get feedback on your design from a peer or family member and make changes based on their feedback.

2-, 3- Once you dial in your contrast and colors… Click the top right button that says download, and choose .jpg.
Open the CoBlis website attached below and Insert your logo into the website on the grey line that says upload file.
Check to see how people who are colorblind will view your logo. Do you need to make any changes? Check the last row of buttons and see how the logo looks in greyscale, monochromatic.Your logo needs to look good big and small.
Your logo needs to look good if I squint at it.
Your logo needs to be visible (although different) to people who are color blind
Your logo needs to look good in Greyscale/black and white (when we make copies of it or print in black and white.Once your logo passes these tests, then move on to your Business card.I have added a sample of my business card to my design studio to guide you on what information goes on the card.
The problem is your text cannot be less than 11 pt in size. You will need to change the letter spacing to make it fit and choose a font that is easy to read.
You need the address, phone number, email, website, and social media. Make all these up, or use the School address and phone.
I will need the logo first.

Yes, this is a Must do. Even for Independent Studies and Portfolio Students.
To turn in, I want the .jpg of your logo, the .jpg of your business card, and the .mp4 of your merged video social media campaign.
