Pretend you are a photojournalist who has been hired by Life Magazine to document the human condition in at River HomeLink or Battle Ground or the surrounding area.
Document with your camera at least one photograph that tells a story about the people who live in or around our area.
This photo will become a historical record of River HomeLink’s/Battle Ground’s culture and society.
Tips: Remember to use the Rules of Composition. “Don’t tell me everything, but tell me enough.”
It might be helpful to brainstorm with a peer or parent what are some “stories” or “things the make up the people” or “things or feelings or ideas that make up River HomeLink or Battle Ground area”.
Make a plan for what the photograph might be and how you are going to get the shot.
EDIT THIS PHOTO USING BASIC 3 EDITS, and any other skill you have like a vignette, to enhance the photo.
UPLOAD THIS PHOTO TO THE ACTIVITY 1 ASSIGNMENT IN GOOGLE CLASSROOM.
ASSESSMENT:
-The photograph should capture a moment in the lives of people who live in the Battle Ground / River HomeLink area.
-The photograph should also tell us something interesting about these people’s lives. TELL A STORY ABOUT BEING HUMAN.
-The composition (the arrangement of everything in the photograph) should only include what is needed to tell the story.
